尊敬的何會長舜發兄鈞安：
欣聞澳門醫療人員協會成立，特此致函，祝會務順暢、蓬勃發展。醫療工作係一良心事業，也是一高度專業的領域；近來因為全球社會變遷，醫病關係丕變：又因科技進步，醫療技術日新月異，往昔的情況已不適現在。實應成立專業恊會泉維護醫護人員合法權益，促進醫療事業之蓬勃發展。弟對舜發兄能殷華人社會之先，率先成立一永久性，非牟利團體來推動此事業：首先表達本人由衷敬意。深信在澳門 所有醫療從業人員同心協心，自律自重的努力下，必可為未來澳門人民做出傑出貢獻。深信此類非政治性且非牟利性而以人為本的公益團體必能對海峽兩岸日益密切的醫療事業營造出美好的未來。

澳門醫療人員協會成立賀詞
日前接到《澳門醫療人員協會》何舜發會長之邀請，參加協會成立典禮，並擔任第一屆名譽顧問，本人深感榮幸。
《澳門醫療人員協會》是在澳門特區政府和中聯辦相關部門領導，以及熱心公益的社會人士簫德雄先生等各方友好的關心和支持下，在澳門醫療界同道的齊心努力下，承載著澳門醫療界對社會的使命和責任而建立起來的永久性非牟利團體。
目前創會會員有一千三百多人，以聯絡、團結澳門醫療人員，維護合法權益，共建醫護同心、醫患和諧為宗旨，並希望對醫療服務逐步規範，以提高醫療水平、提高醫療人員的自律意識，保障醫療質量。醫協會轄下設有醫療人員法律援助基金，在澳門醫療人員涉及醫療糾紛時予以援助，這一點對醫療人員的工作情緒有一定的安定作用。自創會以來，醫協會除配合政府政策舉辦了相關專題講座；當醫療人員在工作中受到暴力攻擊時，聯合其它醫療團體，挺身維護醫療人員的合法權益外：並於今春發起募款活動，捐助中國西南地區旱災，提高了醫療人員的社會形象。
值此醫協會成立揭幕之際，謹祝醫協會能發揮其功能，為澳門醫療界樹立起團結互助的精神及醫界良好的形象，為澳門的繁榮穩定及社會和諧盡一分力。

CONGRATULATIONS
Over the past decade, I have witnessed the rapid metamorphosis of the medical profession in Macao. Developments in all medical specialties have forged ahead in leaps and bounds, resulting in a surge in the stan-dard of medical care for the community. However, rising standards bring rising expectations, and in tandem ever more complex issues - both from within the profession and from the society - that need to be addressed.
Hong Kong and Macao both have returned to our motherland just over a decade ago. Legacies of the historic past, plus the ingenious concept of "one country, two systems", left many challenges for the two cities. They might look similar on the surface, but in reality are fundamentally different. Local issues are best tackled by the indigenous elite who have the passion and vision for the local medical profession. It is time for Macao to set up its own professional body to fill the current vacuum and pursue important targets such as fostering camaraderie among all medical professionals, championing for the wellness of the profession with a strong unified voice, creating a safe and secure working environment for all medical staff, upholding medical ethics and standards, depicting a positive image of the profession to the society, interacting with the government and other professionals in all matters medical or otherwise, with the ultimate aim to better serve and benefit the community.
On this auspicious occasion of the founding of The MacaoAssociation of Medical Staff, I salute those of you who have masterminded the project and have made its inception possible, and would like to covey my congratulations to all of you who are part of the Association. I wish you all every success in all your future endeavours.
